NEW TECHART GTSPORT CONCEPT UNVEILED FOR 992 TURBO S MODELS
Embracing the spirit of automotive excellence, Techart has introduced its highly anticipated Gtsport, a limited customisation concept tailored specifically for the 992-generation 911 Turbo S. Following its successful debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, the Gtsport made its mark at the Bangkok International Motor Show at the end of March, stretching into early April.
Limited to just thirty orders worldwide, the Gtsport concept is a defined scope of customisation allowing for a high level of individuality, thereby setting Gtsport 911s apart from any stock 992 Turbo S. Furthermore, Techart customers have the option to choose from a range of Gtsport refinement add-ons to tailor their personal Gtsport specification to perfection with individual details, effectively making the host 911 Turbo S one of one, rather than one of thirty.
Key among the add-ons on offer are a front apron with side canards, a rear diffuser, a carbon-fibre front lid, exclusive Techart wheels, power enhancements and more. With the modular architecture of the Gtsport programme, configuring a 992 Turbo S to accommodate Gtsport upgrades is an exceptionally easy task, despite the endless Techart range. Additionally, the German company offers optional scope items, which are available at additional cost. These include, for example, an alternative power kit, which can boost the performance of the Porsche 911 Turbo S by up to 150bhp more than standard specification.
“Today marks a significant milestone for Techart,” says Khun Akarawatt Kongsirikan, CEO of Techart Thailand. “We proudly present the Gtsport. We are thrilled to bring this extraordinary upgrade programme to our discerning clientele, showcasing unrivalled customisation options and enhanced performance. The Gtsport embodies true individualism, as well as excellence in automotive craftsmanship and innovation. We are honoured to lead the charge in introducing these parts to the Thai market.”
Christian Pauketat, Senior Vice President of Sales and Distribution at Techart Automobildesign Gmbh, extended his sincere gratitude to Techart Thailand for the team’s unwavering dedication in bringing the Gtsport to enthusiasts in Southeast Asia. “It is with great pride that I join the official launch of the Techart Gtsport individualisation programme in Thailand. This collaboration underscores our company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive customisation to deliver unparalleled experiences to our customers worldwide.”

PORSCHE MARKS 2024 AS ITS BIGGEST YEAR OF PRODUCT LAUNCHES
Porsche AG closed out a very successful 2023 financial year and is planning the biggest year of product launches in the company’s history. With four new model line launches (Panamera, Macan, Taycan and second-generation 992), the sports car manufacturer is already enjoying a busy 2024 and will continue to pick up speed in 2025. “We have had a strong financial year,” says Chairman of the Executive Board, Oliver Blume. “2024 is going to be a year of product launches for Porsche, more so than any other year in the brand’s history. This will put the wind at our back for years to come.”
Group sales revenue totalled 40.5 billion euros in 2023. This marks a 7.7 percent increase over the previous year’s tally of 37.6 billion euros. Group operating profit rose by 7.6 percent, from 6.8 billion euros in 2022 to 7.3 billion euros in 2023. Despite ongoing disruption to supply chains, significant inflation and exceptionally high investments in digitalisation (as well as product and innovation portfolios), the Group operating return on sales remained stable at eighteen percent. Automotive net cashflow in the 2023 financial year amounted to four billion euros, up against 2022’s 3.9 billion euros.
“Our strong results are due to high demand for our attractive products and our strict cost discipline,” says Lutz Meschke, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and Board Member for Finance and IT. “In 2023, Porsche proved itself resilient, highly profitable and financially robust, even in globally volatile times. And we benefit from an even better-balanced sales structure than in the past,” he says. “On this basis, we’re laying the groundwork in 2024 for a flying start in 2025. Our focus remains on the sustainable success of the company. Ultimately, our customers and employees, the company and our shareholders will all benefit.”
In the 2023 fiscal year, the earnings per ordinary share were 5.66 euros and the earnings per preferred share were 5.67 euros. In line with the company’s current dividend policy, the Executive Board and Supervisory Board of the Annual General Meeting will propose a dividend payment of 2.1 billion euros for the 2023 fiscal year. This amounts to more than forty percent of the Group’s net income after tax, 2.30 euros per ordinary share and 2.31 euros per preferred share. In the medium term, Porsche plans to distribute fifty percent of the Group’s net income after tax to shareholders.
The launch of the second-generation 992 is planned for early summer and includes a high-performance hybrid powertrain. “Once again, we are deploying technology derived from the world of motorsport. Our customers can look forward to many technological innovations along these lines,” Blume confirms. With their wide range of customisation options, the new models lay the groundwork for Porsche to further advance its strategy of value-creating growth. And, importantly, the company is committed to manufacturing three types of powertrains: efficient internal combustion engines, exciting plug-in hybrids and a range of innovative new solutions for vehicle electrification.
