-

A CHURCH has welcomed its new curate.

Reverend Christopher Krawiec is now curate of St Bartholomew’s Church, Park Lane, Great Harwood.

He was ordained as Deacon at Blackburn Cathedral on July 4.

Before joining the church Christopher, 29, worked in the hospitality industry.

Before selection for training in the church he worked as a church Youth Worker in ThorntonCleveleys.

Christopher, who lives with wife Fiona and 14-month-old son Daniel, has spent the last three years training for the church at Cranmer Hall, St John’s College.

Christopher said he was looking forward to the four years he was going to spend with the church.

Christopher said: “We are pleased and excited to be back in the North West.

“It feels really good, after three years studying, to be moving on to the next stage of my training and learning from my new boss, Reverend Colin Penfold.

“I am really looking forward to getting to know the community and it is an incredibly exciting experience.

“It feels like a real privilege to be here.”
