Sex offender to face court again
A CONVICTED sex offender with a ‘white sock fetish’ is to be hauled back to court after having a conversation over the internet with an underage boy.
Kristian Kirk, formerly of Oswaldtwistle, has admitted breaching the conditions of a sexual harm prevention order which was imposed by Burnley Crown Court last November after he was caught trying to send indecent photographs over social media.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said Kirk, 26, was arrested on May 23, on suspicion of contacting a 15-year-old boy using social network application Grindr.
He pleaded guilty at Burnley Magistrates Court the next day to breaching the terms of the order while subject to a suspended jail sentence.
He was bailed to appear for sentence at Burnley Crown Court on July 11. An order was imposed by the court preventing publication of his new address.
Last year the ex-police studies student was snared by ‘paedophile hunter’ Stinson Hunter after he duped him into believing he was a teenage boy. He pleaded guilty in June 2015 to attempting to arrange or facilitate the commission of a child sex offence.
While he was on bail for those offences he then committed a separate offence of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
He was given a 26-week suspended prison sentence last November.
