CIVIC ARTS

-

LAUREN STIRZAKER

Are you Carnival Ready? WE are getting into Carnival mode here at the Civic with puppets being made for our procession by local young people.

The carnival will be a huge community event on Sunday, June 19.

There is still lots of time to get involved and lots of things to do, why not pop along to one of our sessions and see?

These are free sessions and will be on Thursday, June 2, Friday, June 3, 10am-3pm at Hippings Vale Community centre on Harvey Street, Oswaldtwistle. All these sessions are public and open to everyone.

All children under 10 years must be accompanied.

We also wanted to remind you that we put on many FREE activities and many that are just a couple of pounds to come to.

Keep your eye on our Facebook page and website for some events in Rhyddings Park this summer, including some arts and crafts projects. Forthcoming Events Events-wise coming up we have a Murder Mystery on Friday, June 3, ‘The Final Curtain’, written and produced by staff at the Civic Arts Centre.

Tickets are just £8.50 and there will be a delicious hotpot supper included. We also have The Oswaldtwistle Beer Festival on Saturday, June 11, which will include breweries from around the region who will be bringing their ales for sampling and sales.

Entry is free and there will be some live music acts on our stage throughout the day.

Don’t forget our usual monthly Manford’s Comedy Club will be on Sunday, June 12, where you can round off the week with four fantastic acts for just £12.50.

So in other words, there is something for everyone and every budget at the Civic.

Don’t guess about what we do, check out or website or come in and meet our friendly team and find out!
