GALLERY CORNER
THE Haworth Stables Block and Motor House project keys were formally handed over from Rosslee Construction and the Heritage Lottery Fund to Hyndburn Borough Council, signifying the near completion of the project on Wednesday, May 25.
With just the final touches to be completed, the Haworth Stables and Motor House Artist Studios will soon be available for rent.
Artists will not only benefit from beautifully fitted-out studios and surroundings but also business and marketing support from Haworth Art Gallery. To register an expression of interest in renting a studio, please contact the gallery on 01254 233782 and speak to Gillian Berry.
The next event will be the formal launch of the Stables and Motor House Artist Studios on Thursday, June 9, which will be attended by the Deputy Lieutenant of Manchester, Martin Ainscough and the Haworth Patrons, Eric Knowles, TV presenter and Pollyanna Pickering, International Wildlife Artist and TV presenter.
In addition to these exciting developments, Haworth Art Gallery has been working with Blackburn University College graphics students to re-brand the gallery, studios and park.
We are thrilled to announce that the winner of this re-branding competition has been won by third year student Lauren Miller and her new logo can be seen on our Facebook page: facebook.com/ haworthart Gallery Accrington. Don’t forget that the Gallery Kitchen is open for lunch and afternoon tea Wednesday to Saturday from noon to 4.30pm, Sunday noon to 6pm and every Friday
