Accrington Observer

Are you crafty enough to run a skills session?

-

COULD you run sessions in heritage rural crafts or traditional homespun vintage skills that fit into the reduce, re-use or recycle theme.

There are vacancies for session workers to run workshops and activities at The PROSPECTS Foundation.

We are looking for people who are interested in running workshop sessions or activities at the Training Centre, Oak Hill Park or PROSPECTS Environment Centre, Broadway, Accrington.

There are people waiting to learn how creating things from natural resources can help them, their community and the environment by saving money and energy.

We are hoping to extend the range of activities that we have offered during the last three years.

Sessions can run from three to four hours or a half to full day. There will be opportunities for trainers to have stalls at woodland and other days to demonstrate their skills and promote their work.

Please get in touch with PROSPECTS if you have a specific craft or vintage skill that you could teach to beginners and improvers. The new range of workshops will start from October and we have funding to pay suitable tutors. The workshops can be during the week on Saturdays.

Please phone Barbara Sharples, activity organiser, The PROSPECTS Foundation on 01254-230348 between 10am and 4pm Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday for a chat or email barbara. sharples@ prospectsfoundation.org. uk
