HEARTBREAK for parents as Jessica Whelan, four, given months to live (Observer October 14) Julie Ashworth Scott: Bless her, I had tears in my eyes as I was reading this. I’m sure Mum and Dad will make the most of their time that they have left with Jessica. What a brave family, can’t imagine how they’ve managed. Christine Slinger: Heartbreak­ing, God bless and I hope you make many happy memories. Nicola Clark-Sandiford: No parent should ever have to make that decision. GANGS of brick throwing yobs ‘putting lives at risk’ (Observer, October 14) Rachel Elizabeth Hinksman: I hope the police are doing something about it. We were driving along there on Friday night about 8.30 and they threw something at the passenger side where I was sat. Alan Walmsley: Nothing will happen if they are caught, it never does. Josh Blayne Allen: I hope when caught, they get more than a simple slap on the wrist like the majority of people these days. Joanne Sutcliffe: Accrington is a lost cause.
