LINDA HANSON

-

LINDA Anne Hanson nee Fletcher died on Saturday, November 12 peacefully in The Christie Hospital, aged 69.

She was the very much-loved mum of Michael Oliver, and much-loved daughter of the late Florence and Fred Fletcher, much-loved sister of Susan, Stephen and the late Janine, dear sister-inlaw of James (Jim) and loving auntie of James and Edward.

Linda was brought up on The Old Engine Farm in Altham and attended Accrington High School for Girls. She began her working life in sales and was intelligent, energetic and determined.

When Linda married Michael, she became involved in the Hanson family business and later became head of sales at Hanson Trucks. She was very successful and dynamic in her position and went on to develop her own successful private medical business. She had natural skills and a great business acumen.

She retired to Bodrum in Turkey to enjoy the sunshine. Linda had a big heart and was very loving and caring.

She truly believed in the circle of care, that you couldn’t receive love and kindness without giving them back in full measure. She was popular and always beautifully presented. A lovely lady inside and out.

The service will be held in St Michael and All Angels Church, Foulridge followed by interment in the Churchyard.
