Clarets avoid sinking feeling

- KATERINA LEE’S CLARETS VIEW

WITH yet another international break and the game against West Brom not until Monday night, we’ll have to wait in anticipation to see whether our good run of form continues.

We can still revel in our emphatic late win against Crystal Palace which has definitely turned a few heads.

At the very least it’s given the most sceptical of Clarets a glimmer of hope for our future in the Premier League.

At the point in time, I don’t see us as the relegation fodder we’ve been pinned as at the start of the season.

How can we be when we’re sitting pretty in ninth place?

I suppose it could all go horribly wrong... there’s still time.

However, as chairman Mike Garlick said this week, the new signings breathed new life into the squad and he’s only too happy to continue to support Dyche in his decisions to buy players.

The last time we went to The Hawthorns was utterly disastrous as they beat us 5-0. I believe we are an entirely different team now, despite our poor away form.

Teams just can’t seem to break us down defensively and when we have Stephen Defour at the helm, at times we look unstoppable.

It’s certainly the most hopeful I’ve been in terms of staying up.

The way we’ve been playing so far, and if we can keep it up by Christmas, I think we can almost be certain of our survival.
