Bio:
I am 94 years young. I served in the RAF and I was a joiner.
The best thing about Accrington is?:
All of it – I have enjoyed living here very much.
My favourite place in Accrington is?:
Any of the golf clubs.
Do you have any favourite hobbies?:
I used to play golf, I’ve trained greyhounds for racing and now I enjoy cooking and baking.
How did you get started?:
I started golf when a few people from the Shopfitters in Oswaldtwistle where I used to work started a team.
How often do you practise this?:
Up until five years ago I played twice a week. Green Haworth was my first club and then Great Harwood.
Ideally I would spend every day?:
I would like to spend every day watching horse racing and sport and later going for a nice meal.
The best holiday I’ve ever been on?:
That would be to Tunisia 30 years ago.
If money were no object I would?:
I would like to go to Italy to watch an opera.
My one piece of advice would be?:
Keep yourself active fit and healthy.
My first job was?:
Apprentice joiner.
My favourite TV show is?:
Inspector Morse.
My biggest inspiration has been?:
When I was younger I was always good at athletics and I found Carl Lewis the American sprinter very inspirational.
Who would I like to invite to dinner?:
