Orient tipped to prevent double

-

THE match stats team at bettingexpert.com remind us that Stanley completed a league double over Saturday’s opponents Leyton Orient when the pair met for the first time last season.

Following last weekend’s timely FA Cup win, what Accrington wouldn’t give to get the first leg of another league double under their belt when the duo lock horns again on Saturday.

Somewhat surprisingly, Orient are installed as 6/4 favourites (Marathonbet) to secure three points, whereas Stanley are offered at 19/10 by online firm Matchbook; Betfred price the draw at 12/5.

Orient have lost more home matches (9) than any other League Two team and while they’re favourites to win, the 9/4 chalked by Bwin against the opening period finishing goalless holds obvious appeal, while 10bet’s 2/5 for the first half to produce fewer than 1.5 goals would, for many, fall into ‘banker’ territory. 888sport consider the chances of the first period concluding on level terms to be an attractive 7/5 shot.

Although Skybet post 5/6 about both teams finding the net, few would be surprised if at least one goal arrived via the penalty spot. Paddy Power rate the chances of a spot-kick being awarded at any time at 9/5.

Elsewhere, Victor Chandler place 9/4 against Stanley retaining a clean sheet, while Betway post an inviting 5/1 against them emerging victorious following a drawn opening half.

In the same market, Coral have 4/1 chalked against Accrington leading at the end of both halves, while the most popular outcome in the correct score market is a 1-1 draw, priced at 6/1 by Ladbrokes.
