COMMUNITY TRUST COLUMN

ACCRINGTON Stanley Community Trust have made a huge impact to the local area in 2016.

We have produced an infographic to show the number of people that have benefited from some of our key areas of sport participation, health, education and inclusion.

There are 10,157 unique individuals who have benefited from our projects and visited 51,325 times.

Martin Fearon, Community Trust manager, said: “Each year we aim to grow our provision so that more and more people from our local area can benefit from our vast array of projects. We have done this again in 2016 and the numbers are remarkable.

“I would like to thank all of our funders and partners who have played a part in helping us achieve our aims and objectives this year. We now deliver over 30 community projects and employ 18 local people.

“We are also an award winning charity after picking up the Hyndburn Community Business of the Year Award in June. The award recognises the positive impact we are making in our community and we want to build on this over the next 12 months.

“We have some exciting plans next year which include a range of new sport and education provision so keep your eyes peeled for these to be announced in the coming weeks. We have also secured funding from the Premier League, National Lottery and Sport England which will be invested into new projects.

“We play a crucial role for Accrington Stanley by increasing the awareness in the local area and providing opportunities for many people. We hope to see many of our participants at the Wham Stadium this season to support the team.’’
