ACCRINGTON Stanley’s woes continued after they were beaten at Grimsby Town, meaning they suffered a third straight league defeat.

Goals from Tom Bolarinwa and Ashley Chambers either side of halftime condemned the Reds to a loss at Blundell Park.

It leaves Stanley outside the relegation zone on goal difference alone, and manager John Coleman insists he will do all he can to fix the situation.

“We are going to have to work harder. There will be more training sessions, maybe no days off and we will be doing whatever we have to do to make sure we get that win. It will be work, work, work,” he told the club’s official website.

“I have got to stick my chest out and not hide. We will go back on the training ground and will find a way to get it right.

“We are making chances but we are just not taking them and it’s my job as manager to iron out the problems.”

Accrington made one change from the team that lost to top of the table Plymouth in their previous game, with Aaron Chapman coming in for Elliot Parish in goal.

Billy Kee had the first chance of the match when his early effort was blocked, before Matty Pearson smashed a shot over the crossbar.

Stanley’s good start then saw Grimsby goalkeeper Dean Henderson keep out Jordan Clark’s attempt on 19 minutes.

He was required again just moments later, as Rommy Boco’s shot had to be turned around the post.

After beginning the game slowly, Grimsby started to come back into the match as the half pro- gressed, with Omar Bogle heading over.

Grimsby then made Stanley pay for their missed chances earlier in the half when the hosts made the breakthrou­gh on 32 minutes.

A slip by Omar Beckles allowed Bolarinwa a clear run at goal, and he took full advantage by blasting the ball past Chapman and into the back of the net.

The home side carried their lead into the second half, but they had to be alert just after the interval when Mark Hughes’ shot for Accrington was saved once again by Henderson.
