Enjoy Great American Songbook
The Great American Songbook comes to Accrington
ON Sunday, April 2, join Bill Holmes (vocals) and Tim Mottershead (piano) at 2pm with Feeling’ Good – an afternoon devoted to the Golden Age of American Popular Song, as popularised by Tony Bennett, Frank, Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and others.
Expect velvety vocals, sparkling piano playing and a ‘feelgood’ atmosphere as Tim and Bill take you on a journey through some of the best songs ever written, including classics such as Moon River; The Look of Love; Too Darn Hot; When I Fall in Love; My Funny Valentine; Every Time we say Goodbye, The Lady Is A Tramp... and many others.
Tim Mottershead has been a professional musician since 1987. As a solo pianist and composer, over the years he has performed with many others and in 2014 he began to work with Bill Holmes.
The pair perform a wide range of vocal material including easy listening ‘jazz’ from The Great American Songbook.
The Gallery Kitchen will be open throughout these events and refreshments may be taken into the Music ‘Cabaret’ Room.
