ROTARY CLUB OF GREAT HARWOOD AND RISHTON
AT the recent District Rotary Conference held in Southport, Patrick Mcginley – the president of Great Harwood and Rishton Rotary Club – met TV star and publicist for the stars, Nicki Chapman.
She was a judge for the original ‘Popstars’ talent show and features on holiday and housing programmes.
She has also been agent for stars such as Phil Collins, Take That, and Elton John.
Nicki was a guest speaker talking about her life as a TV presenter and agent – she also spoke about ‘Be inspired’ which was the theme for the Rotary conference.
Also present was ‘Gordon the mascot’ from Great Harwood and Rishton Rotary Club, who has travelled all over the world in the past few years to advertise our club.
Patrick said: “The theme of our district conference was ‘Be inspired’.
“We are actively recruiting new members into Rotary and would dearly love local people to come forward and join our team.”
The charity selected for the district conference was ‘Blood Bikes’ and over the weekend we managed to raise £1,500 to help purchase a new bike.
