Learn New Skills with our Adult Workshops

HAWORTH Art Gallery and Stables Studios are pleased to offer a variety of art and craft workshops to enable adults learn new skills.

Ribble Creative Stitchers group who are currently exhibiting at the gallery are offering three different textiles workshops led by one of their members.

The first workshop takes place on Saturday, April 29, where you can learn ‘Needlepunc­h’ Felt Landscapes with Shirley Williams, the second on Saturday, May 13, is to create a ‘Stumpwork’ Butterfly Brooch with Sandie Maher and the third is on Saturday, May 27, stitching ‘Blackwork’ in colour with Val Alldred.

All workshops run from noon to 3pm and cost £20, to include all materials and tuition.

Resident artists in Haworth Stables and Motor House Studios are also running a series of ‘taster’ workshops in a variety of art mediums, including painting, pottery, willow craft and on-glaze.

The next free taster workshop is on Saturday, May 6, Paint and Pottery from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

The Gallery Kitchen is open for lunch and afternoon tea from Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 4.30pm and every Friday and Saturday evening from 5.30pm to 11pm with a delicious bistro menu, telephone 01254 491660 to book a table.

The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, noon to 4.45pm, Saturday, Sunday, noon to 4.15pm, closed all day Monday.
