County can do it

-

JOHN Coleman has backed Newport County to avoid relegation from League Two.

Coleman praised Stanley’s recent opponents for their efforts over the past month.

“There’s always one team who looks dead and buried and makes a miraculous recovery,” he told the club’s official website. “Look at Hartlepool a couple of seasons ago.

“Sometimes things can be levelled at the players when a manager goes and there’s an upturn in form – you only have to look at Leicester for that – but it does still take a certain amount of organisation so you have to take your hat off to Michael Flynn and what he’s done there as I think at one stage they were about 12 or 14 points from safety.”
