HYNDBURN ARTHRITIS CARE GROUP

-

AT the monthly meeting of the Hyndburn Arthritis Care Group members were pleased to welcome Frank Daniels – one of their favourite entertainers.

He began with ‘I’ll never find another you’ and then moved onto the Elvis songs ‘Stuck on you’ and ‘Don’t be cruel’.

He told members that Johnny Cash wrote ‘Forty shades of green,’ always a popular one.

Frank’s programme is interesting and entertaining and Beatles songs came next, then ‘Galway Girl’ and member Harold got up and did a little jig which amused the audience.

Supper and a raffle followed and then a short interval.

The second half of the evening was pretty lively with songs from Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers and others from the 1950s and 1960s, with members showing their skills at hand jiving.

Requests followed and Frank sang ‘Fields of Athenry’ for Helen and friends.

Peter Hopwood thanked Frank for a very enjoyable evening and ‘Isles of Innisfree’ ended for an encore.
