JUNE is set to be a month of music and comedy and there’s so much to choose from, with a massive twelve events coming up over the next four weeks.

On Saturday, June 10, the East Lancashire Concert Band will be celebratin­g their 175th birthday with a concert that will take you on a journey through their history.

Tickets are just £5 and the show starts at 7pm, doors at 6pm.

This month sees the last Manford’s Comedy Club until September and it’s set to be a special night. Matt Reed hosts the evening which will see Fran Garrity, Jon Pearson and Jeff Innocent take to the stage.

Tickets are £12.50 and available from man fords comedy club. co.uk, doors at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm on Sunday, June 11.

Tickets are still available for The Upbeat Beatles but our all-inclusive tickets are almost sold out! All-inclusive tickets include a three-course meal, glass of wine and ticket to the show for just £32 and with Father’s Day on the same weekend this would make the perfect gift.

The 2017 tour – From Moptop to Rooftop – features the live band bringing you all the classic Beatles hits. See them on Friday, June 16, at 7.30pm – show only tickets are available for £18 each.

On Saturday, June 17, at 7.30pm a group of local actors will take to the stage for an evening of all your favourite comedy sketches. Featuring sketches from Victoria Wood, Two Ronnies, Smack the Pony, The Fast Show, Monty Python and much more.

All profits from the evening will be donated to Alzheimer’s UK. Tickets are £6 for concession­s and £8.50 general.

From Wednesday, June 21 to Saturday, June 24, the award-winning theatre company ReAct Academy presents the classic musical West Side Story. Performanc­es are every evening at 7.30pm, with a matinee at 2.30pm on Saturday. Tickets are £10 each.

Next month, the bad boy of British comedy will be returning to the Civic for his 2017 tour. Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown will be live on stage on Saturday, July 8.

All tickets are £20, doors at 6pm and the show starts at 7.30pm. If you are easily offended, please avoid this event.
