GALLERY CORNER Violin virtuoso Jo adds another string to her bow
Popular Violin Classics with ‘Jo Violin’ at Haworth Art Gallery HAWORTH Art Gallery is pleased to welcome back violin virtuoso ‘Jo Violin’ back once more to perform in the music room on Sunday, June 18, at 2pm.
Joanne Atherton, returns to the gallery with her violin duo partner and husband Michael Walton, to play popular classical violin duets for a spring afternoon. Together they will be playing some Bach, Mozart and Vivaldi amongst others.
They have also set up a string quartet called the Langonet Quartet which will perform at Haworth Art Gallery in the near future.
Jo is a freelance violinist, who was classically trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and works throughout the country. She was brought up in the Rossendale Valley and enjoys playing Beethoven, Shostakovich and jazz.
This is a free concert and all donations go direct to the performers.
We ask that people arrive early to secure a seat. Drinks and refreshments may be purchased from the Gallery Kitchen Bar.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday 12 noon to 4.45pm, Saturday, Sunday 12 noon to 4.15pm, closed all day Monday, free entrance and parking.
