‘Sword man’ report

POLICE were called to Accrington Rail Station to reports of a man armed with a sword.

Officers from the British Transport Police were alerted at around 2.15pm on Saturday, June 17.

A spokesperson said: “We were called by a member of the public who reported seeing a man with a sword.

“We attended and searched the whole station but the man wasn’t located. Our investigation continues.” Call 0800 405040 quoting log 284 of June 17.
