Community day aims to attract new recruits

ACCRINGTON Community FC hold their Annual Fun Day recruitment tournament on Sunday at Livingstone Road Sports Ground.

The fun starts at 10am for the younger age groups and 12.30pm to 4pm for the ladies teams.

The day gives potential new players the opportunity to meet representatives from the club including players, managers and coaches.

It is open to all ages from under-10s girls to over-16s and ladies, with the new boys teams at under-12 and under-15s.

A club spokesman said: “We are looking for players of all abilities – old players, new players, players who have not played before but have always fancied giving football a try and players who haven’t played for a while and want to play again.”
