Have your say on changes to planning policy

-

HYNDBURN council is seeking views over the coming weeks on a new planning document.

The Development Management Development Plan Document (DM DPD) forms an important part of the new Local Plan for Hyndburn.

The document sets out the detailed planning policies to be used by planning officers and members of the planning committee in determining planning applications for the borough.

Once complete, it will sit alongside the Core Strategy and Accrington Area Action Plan, parts of the Local Plan already adopted by the council.

The council submitted the document to the Secretary of State for independent examination in January 2017.

A planning inspector has examined it, formal hearings have taken place and a number of modifications are now proposed.

This is a final opportunity to comment on these proposed modifications to the document prior to the inspector issuing her final report to the council.

The proposed modifications are available for comment.

All relevant documentation will be available to view on the council’s website at www. hyndburnbc.gov.uk/ dmdpd.

Hard copies will also be available to view at all council libraries, and in the reception of the council offices at Scaitcliffe House, on Ormerod Street, Accrington, during normal working hours.

You can send any comments (quoting the relevant modification reference to which your comments relate) by email to planning@ hyndburnbc.gov.uk, or post to Plans and Environment, Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF.

All comments should be received no later than 5pm on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Comments will be made available for public inspection and will therefore not be treated as confidential.
