YOUR THEATRE STAR
Name: Hussey. Charlotte-Elizabeth Job: Agent. Contact Centre Which theatre company are you involved with?: Oswaldtwistle Players. Are you taking part in any productions at the moment?: When We Are Married by JB Priestly. Who is your character in the play?: Nancy, a young girl who is stepping out with a gentleman her aunt and uncle do not approve of! How long have you been with the Oswaldtwistle Players?: Since December 2016. What do you like about the character you are
currently playing?: I love Nancy’s rebellious streak – she reminds me of teenage me! I definitely dated some guys that my family didn’t approve of. However she’s a terrible sap, but I suppose we all are when we’re in love. What do you most enjoy?: Besides acting I love reading. I could quite happily live in a library and methodically work my way through every book! Have you been in any other productions?: I was Gloria Mullins in the
April production of Brassed Off, but all my other theatre work was before I joined the Oswaldtwistle Players. Who is your favourite actor and why?: Tom Hiddleston. That man can do no wrong! If you could play any part what would it be
and why?: I miss musical theatre a lot, it was a huge part of growing up for me, so I’ve been dying to get back involved in that. I think my dream role would be Eponine. Though, if we were sticking to strictly acting I really want to play Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Are you involved in any other projects at the moment?: I’ve been helping a friend out by doing some voice acting work for one of his Machinimas. What do you most enjoy about doing this?: I enjoy losing myself in another character. It’s refreshing to become someone else entirely, if only for a couple of hours a few days a week. Any memorable/funny moments or highlights from this?: We have a lot of memorable and funny moments in our Thursday Club at the pub, but whether these are printable is a different matter altogether! You can see Oswaldtwistle Players next production ‘When We are Married’ by JB Priestley, directed by Michael Flanagan, at the Civic Theatre, Oswaldtwistle, BB5 3HZ. Performances run from Wednesday, October 18 to Saturday, October 21, at 7.30pm. Wednesday – all tickets £7.50. Thursday to Saturday – £9, with concessions £8.50.
