Open days at local secondary schools

SECONDARY schools across Hyndburn are opening their doors over the next few weeks for prospective pupils and their families or carers to see what’s on offer.

The Hyndburn Academy - formerly Norden High School - in Rishton will hold its event on Monday, September 18.

It will be followed by Mount Carmel RC High School in Accrington on Thursday, September 21, from 6pm to 8pm.

Rhyddings Business and Enterprise School in Oswaldtwistle will hold its open evening on Tuesday, September 26, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm and an ‘open morning’ from 9.30am to 12noon the same day.

Hollins Technology College in Accrington will open its doors on Thursday, September 28, from 6pm to 8pm.

The final secondary school opening is at St Christopher’s High School in Accrington on Tuesday, October 3, from 6pm to 8pm.

The open days will be available to both year five and six pupils.
