Low cost crafts a hit

-

OSWALDTWISTLE Mills have hailed their ‘low cost craft activities’ over the summer holidays a ‘huge success’.

More than 2,000 children took part in 18 different events over the six-week break.

Tracy Leeming, marketing manager, said craft activities were aimed at families across Hyndburn and Lancashire and that the feedback has been ‘amazing’ with some attending multiple events.

She said: “We have been amazed by the response we have had to our children’s summer events this year.

“We developed our craft activities and fun days at the mill due to there being a lack of activities in the area over the school holidays.

“Our aim was to provide low-cost activities from £1 to £3 that families in the area could enjoy without breaking the bank and it’s been a great success.”

The events also raised £200 towards their two chosen charities this year, which are Ronald McDonald House at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and the ‘Nation of Lifesavers’ campaign for The British Heart Foundation.
