Rawson takes to Stanley

FARREND Rawson says he has been impressed with the attitude shown by his Accrington Stanley teammates and staff.

Rawson joined Stanley on loan from Derby County, and made his debut during the 2-1 victory over Morecambe earlier this month.

“There are a good group of lads here and we are all pushing in the right direction, we are all striving for more especially the management,” he told the club’s official website.

“They don’t just want to win, they want to win convincingly and keep a clean sheet and I like that.

“My aim is to keep improving and, as a team keep getting those ‘w’s’ as we want to win games and move even further up the table.

“On a personal level, I have enjoyed it, it was great to start with a derby and a win and it’s always an honour to put on the shirt of any team I play for.”

Rawson hit the woodwork against Morecambe, and he hopes to start converting those chances.

“It was frustrating as I am always a post man. In the past I have hit the post a number of times but the good thing is I am getting into good positions and putting myself in the right situations,” he said.

“Goals are something I need to add to my game, so I will have a few practise goes and hopefully it will work eventually!”
