Coffee morning treats

CUPS of coffee and slices of cake will be on the go this week for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Parishione­rs raised a fabulous £400 at St Joseph’s parish hall, Accrington and a great time was had by all.

An event was also held at Rhyddings Methodist Church in Oswaldtwis­tle, attended by Mayor Coun Peter Britcliffe and Mayoress Sara Britcliffe.

They are due to attend six further coffee mornings on Friday, September 29.

Friday, September 29: 7am to 2pm at Take a Minute Butty van, Newhouse Road, Huncoat Industrial Estate, Huncoat.
