Accrington man, 51, is found dead after car fire

A MAN who died after being found in a burning car earlier this month has been identified as a 51-yearold from Accrington.

The body of Ian Taylorson was found in the early hours of the morning in Penistone Hill Country Park, near Haworth, in West Yorkshire, on Monday, October 9.

Passers-by discovered Mr Taylorson’s car which was still ablaze and reported it to West Yorkshire Police who were called to the scene.

Police said the circumstan­ces of his death are not believed to have been suspicious.

A spokespers­on for West Yorkshire Police said: “We were called at 7.28am to reports of a burning car in Penistone Hill Country park, on Monday, October 9 by members of the public.

“Fire services were called to the scene and the incident is not being treated as suspicious. There will be an inquest and the circumstan­ces will be examined.”

Bradford Coroner’s Court said an inquest into Mr Taylorson’s death was opened on October 20 and has been adjourned pending further investigat­ions.
