Modernised charity shop has more room for goodies

-

PEOPLE are being urged to support a newly refurbished charity shop.

The Age UK shop in Great Harwood will reopen on Thursday, February 2, having closed for a refit to improve and modernise the store.

The shop features an updated design and layout, improved merchandising and will suit local shoppers who are looking for individual, one-off pieces as well as a wide range of donated and new items, including clothes, accessories, books and home-ware.

Lyn Anderson, shop manager, said: “We’re very excited about our new shop in Great Harwood, it’s got lots of room for clothes and other goodies.

“We are urging everyone in the area to come and check it out, and also to bring along any donations to the store. We are also looking for new volunteers. The shop is reliant on the support of generous volunteers and we are appealing to anyone in the local area who may be able to give up some time to help out. Not only will you meet new people and be a key part of the local community, you will also be helping Age UK raise vital funds.”

Potential volunteers can call 01706 210162 while the shop is closed.
