CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrate­s Court:

JONATHON Ellis Stockman, 28, of Holgate Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £250, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

VICTORIA Beard, 22, of Beech Grove, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place, failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail while subject to a conditiona­l discharge order. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

USMAN Ali Khan, 25, of Lister Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to using a car without insurance. He was given an absolute discharge after magistrate­s heard that he paid £500 to a broker and ‘genuinely believed’ he was insured.

MARK Brassingto­n, 39, of Company Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to criminal damage in Accrington. He was fined £330, ordered to pay £100 compensati­on and £85 costs.

NATHAN Lee Thompson, 27, of Marsden Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the community requiremen­t of a suspended sentence order. His order was varied to include an extra five-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t.

LEANNE Madden, 20, of Lodge Street, Accrington, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £205 costs.

AMANDA Ryan, 43, of Wordsworth Close, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being the parent of a child of compulsory school age who failed to attend that school regularly. She was given a 12-month conditiona­l discharge order.

ALEX Thomas Adamou, 27, of Clifton Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

SEAN Paul Brodie, 44, of Blackburn Road, Accrington, pleaded guilty to criminal damage while subject to a conditiona­l discharge order. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

ASHLEY James Lord, 20, of White Ash Lane, Oswaldtwis­tle, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a 12-month conditiona­l discharge, a 12-month restrainin­g order and ordered to pay £200 costs.

R AND S Performanc­e Ltd, based on Manchester Road, Baxenden, was found guilty of failing to give informatio­n relating to the identifica­tion of a driver to police. They were fined £770 and ordered to pay £300 costs. CASES heard at Burnley Magistrate­s Court:

SIMON Day, 49, of Ashworth Street, Rishton, was found guilty in his absence of dropping litter. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £75 costs.

MOHAMMED Riaz, 26, of Parker Street, Rishton, was found guilty in his absence of dropping litter. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £75 costs.
