Event:

Bryan, the Glitch and the Orniphobes - by Lancashire Women’s Centre’s ‘Players’.

Where and when is it?:

Friday, March 9, at the Civic Arts Theatre, Oswaldtwistle, to conclude the week-long celebration to mark International Women’s Day 2018.

What does it involve?:

Performed by staff and volunteers, this sequel to the success debut hit comedy ‘Bryan, The Witch and the Gynaphobes’ is a funny and often touching comedy drama written and directed by Lancashire Women’s Centres Learning and Development manager Moya O’Hagan. In the play, the chairman and committee of the working men’s club are off to foreign parts to meet the mayor of a town being twinned with their own. But summats up, down and across ONCE AGAIN! They are not alone – some unwelcome familiar faces are making the journey too – and it’s all about to get turbulent to say the least! So fasten your seatbelts and brace yourself for lots of laughs as the clash of the clubs and the battle of the sexes takes off, to unchartered waters where someone’s spitting feathers!

What is it in aid of?:

As well as celebrating International Women’s Day, this event is an opportunity to raise awareness and funds to support the ongoing work of Lancashire Women’s Centres.
