‘We are not going to go away’

-

WHAT you said on our Facebook page (Walk-in centre given stay of execution): Mary McGreal: Pathetic they are messing with people’s lives and the staff who work there. Why can’t they admit they are wrong? James Cheverton: The public of Accrington and East Lancashire need this vital service. The new GP led service would not cover its loss and lead to people dying and being more poorly unnecessarily. Trying to get appointments during normal office hours for your family tells you a GP lead service won’t work. Imagine trying at weekends. We must all fight to keep the Accy GP walk in centre open for the long term. Kimberley Whitehead: People please be reminded this is just another extension and the fight must continue. Gary M Hough: Delay delay, hoping we’ll all give up and go away. Well we won’t. Do the right thing and keep it open with more support financially. Gayle Rogan: With the amount of housing proposed for the area and lack of services this is good news - for now! Karen O’Brien: I appreciate it’s seen as a cost saving, but its closure will put more pressure on Blackburn A&E. Jo Rigby: People power! Six stays of execution tells us that they will try again and again. Power to the people. Joanne JoJo Rogers: It is a well needed service and needs to be kept open Aftera Haque: Keep up. Why can’t they just let it stay open? Jean Rio Alderson: Well done everyone. Keep up the good work. Julie Grihault: Keep it open. Clare Cleary: Fantastic news. Saeed Naderi-Dehkordi: Blackburn hospital can’t cope with any more patients. Barbara Willis: Good news, the people need it.
