Wood and Ward will improve us

-

League? I’d like to say so, but in true Burnley fashion we will have to take each game as it comes.

At the moment, all factors seem to be falling into place, including teams around us having an average run (Arsenal).

We have two weeks now to prepare for what in the past has been a sincerely tough and embarrassing game for us – West Brom away.

We can never seem to beat them, but with them being solidly bottom of the table at the moment, surely it’s now or never?

Or at least a 1-0 defeat rather than a 5-0, and we at least play with some dignity, as opposed to previous years where it’s been utterly humiliating.

The past two games, we have been a real pleasure to encounter (in the second half at least at West Ham).

That’s all we ask as fans, really.

The boys at the start of the season and the last couple of games have pulled out all the stops to keep us in the top half of the table, with hopes of a European tour.

Even the games where we haven’t won, we just never stop trying and again, that is all we want to see.

I’m very excited to see what we have left in our tank as we go in to the last leg of the season.

This time last season we were elated to get the necessary 40 points to stay in the top flight. This time it looks like we’ll be pushing for a place in the Europa League. And that is truly exciting.
