Exeter will be threat

-

SEAN McConville says his team are well aware of the threats Exeter offer ahead of this weekend’s crunch match.

The Reds have been in fantastic form throughout the campaign and head into the game knowing a win can secure their promotion to League One, but McConville is expecting a difficult match.

“They beat us at their place, they are a form team so we know we have to be on top of our game,” he told the club’s official website.

“We have to respect them but we also want revenge. We are all excited, we can’t wait for Saturday to come.”

McConville has been a key part of the team and has scored 12 goals this season, and he admits that promotion would be his biggest accolade within football.

“It would be the biggest achievement of my career, no doubt about it. You sit down in the summer thinking the plan is to get promotion, you hope it will happen and then to actually be on the verge of it is a phenomenal achievement,” he said.

“It’s been a collective effort, from the players, to the management, to the physio, the fans, the kitman Naz Ali, the groundsman, Buzzer, everyone behind the scenes. But I have been in football long enough to know nothing has been achieved yet. If we don’t win on Saturday, the pressure moves to Tuesday, then to the next game and on and on so we want to do it as soon as possible.”
