HAWORTH Art Gallery is in the final planning stages for a sensation summer of vibrant exhibitions and events!

On July 21 at noon we will be launching ‘Amazing Accrington #2 – The Show Goes On’ an exhibition that will showcase the fabulous artwork created by members of the Haworth Artist Network and the Haworth Stables and Motor House Studios.

All of the work will be especially created for the exhibition and will feature urban and rural landscapes from Accrington and the surrounding townships along with portraiture of local people and images of our fauna and flora.

Work will be produced in a variety of mediums from painting and prints to photography and fabrics with a touch of the ‘unexpected’ along the way.

In addition, Curator, Gillian Berry has been working on a re-display of our current ‘Tiffany room 1’ which is part of our Tiffany glass permanent collection.

This re-display will graphically tell the previous untold story of Joseph Briggs, the donator of the Tiffany glass collection, his impact in the world of American Tiffany Mosaics and the connection between Accrington and New York.

This new permanent exhibition will also open to the public on July 21, celebrating the life of a man who gave so much to his hometown.
