NO COMMON SENSE HERE

-

IS it any wonder that people are becoming more disillusioned when they hear the news or read in their papers some of what is happening in society today?

We have been informed that water may have to be regulated or even rationed in the near future as water is running out with people showering too many times a week or watering their gardens too often - just two of the reasons been given.

Then in the same breath they inform us that three billion litres of water are lost through leaks a day. Then we are told that IPSA has told MPs that they can claim expense for the £420 plus VAT that they are spending on a day’s Instagram course for themselves and their staff that we all know will end up being used promoting themselves.

Then we have drivers with more than the 12 penalty points legally driving round.

Then we have A&Es that are at breaking point and why?

How many people turn up with trivial complains such as cut fingers or sprained wrists or ankles, wasting valuable time and resources that the older generation would never have dreamed of going to hospital with.

They would have used common sense and dealt with these trivial injuries themselves.

But sadly today this common sense seems to be lacking with many people, but not with the elderly.

They were, and are, a tougher breed.

Is it any wonder that we need more money for the NHS and these self centred out of touch MPs. A.P. Moxham via email
