Church get set for derby

BRAGGING rights will be on the line in the Lancashire League this weekend when ACCRINGTON host neighbours CHURCH at Thorneyhol­me Road.

Accrington are ninth in the table after six wins from 11 matches, but could leapfrog seventh placed Church if they pick up a victory this weekend.

Enfield are on their travels as they head to Alexandra Meadows to face East Lancashire. Enfield are 16th in the table after three wins from their 11 matches, with East Lancs three places below them in 19th.

Enfield also have a quarter-final clash in the Twenty20 competitio­n to deal with, as they head to Acre Bottom to face Ramsbottom on Friday.

Victory in that game would earn Enfield a place at finals day later this month.

RISHTON will look to build on their win over Burnley when they are away from home in the league this weekend as they face Littleboro­ugh at Hare Hill.

Rishton are joint-third from bottom in the table alongside Littleboro­ugh, with both teams having two wins from their 11 games.

GREAT HARWOOD are at home as they take on Milnrow at Cliffe Park. Great Harwood are in 15th place heading into the game, while Milnrow are in 21st.

Ramsbottom will look to keep up their great start to the Lancashire League season when they make the trip to Clitheroe.

Ramsbottom are second in the table with 10 wins from their 11 games so far this season, while Clitheroe are in 11th place.

Haslingden have a home game to contend with as they take on Middleton. Haslingden are in 14th place with four wins from their 11 matches, while Middleton are in 18th position.
