HARVEST Queens from the 1960s feature in Looking Back this week.

Former Observer snapper Garth Dawson photographed the Foxhill Grove Harvest Queen, top left and Stanhill Methodist Queen, top right, with their attendants and retinue.

The Wild West was the setting for the first half of a revue given by the Central Methodist Youth Group in Accrington, above.

The cast of about 30 delighted the audience with songs of the West complete with authentic costumes and a camp fire.

Hodder United, centre right, and Bona Fide football clubs, right, shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at King George Playing Fields.

The Bona Fide team included H Garmston, K Windle, D Heys, T Burgoyne, M Harrison, T Perkins, D Flanagan, N Pickersgill, P Kenyon, M Walmsley and N Eke.

The Hodder United team featured D Cornwell, M Foote, G Owen, R Birch, B Kilby, J Scambler, B Mallory, D Clayton, T Howarth, P Doman and R Sumner.
