MRS Jenny Robertshaw, of Manor Brook, Accrington, died peacefully on Thursday, August 2, surrounded by her loving family, aged 83.

Jenny leaves her husband Jimmy, to whom she was married for 63 years, along with her two sons David and Raymond.

She also leaves daughters-in-law Susan and Angela, grandchild­ren Lee, Jack, Sammy and Jordan, brother Alan, and many friends who will miss her so much.

During her working life Jenny worked at Ewbank Accrington on the evening shift and spent over 20 years as a domestic assistant at Accrington College.

She enjoyed childmindi­ng for neighbours in the Barnfield area, where she lived all her married life, living in Bradford Street for over 50 years before moving to Manor Brook. She was devoted to her family.

Jenny loved days out to the coast or countrysid­e and enjoyed many great holidays, especially to Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey along with coach tours around the UK.

Jenny was very well known in the area and enjoyed socialisin­g at local social clubs, especially Sydney Street WMC.

She also enjoyed bingo and dancing and was always the first on the dance floor at family parties.

A celebratio­n of Jenny’s life will take place on Monday, August 13 at 12.20pm at Accrington Crematoriu­m followed by a cremation officiated by David Ireland.

No flowers by request but donations in memory of Jenny will be accepted for Macmillan.
