MAVIS ADCROFT

MRS Mavis Adcroft nee Simkin (widow of Fred Adcroft), of Accrington, died on Wednesday, August 1, at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 86.

She was a primary school teacher at St Andrew’s and St Nicholas, Accrington.

She was a member of St Mary Magdalen, Accrington; Probus, Accrington; Cambridge Street Mothers and Others.

Mavis enjoyed her family and friends, walking, gardening and baking.

She leaves her daughter Janet, son David and daughter-in-law Shelagh, granddaughters Sarah and Emma and greatgranddaughter Grace.

The funeral service and cremation, conducted by Father Graham Piper, will be held on Tuesday, August 21, at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm.
