Cricket club is on the ball for hospice

BAXENDEN Cricket Club held an all-day event to raise funds for East Lancashire Hospice.

It included a sponsored cricket match, family entertainment and tug-of-war.

They raised a ‘fantastic’ total of £1,125 and cricket club committee member Victoria Austin presented the cheque to Hospice fundraiser Catherine Leech.
