Day of fun for all the family as care home opens doors

BOUNCY castles, funfair games and Peppa Pig were among the attractions keeping guests entertained at a family fun day hosted by an Accrington care home.

Staff and residents at Springhill Care Home invited the local community to join them, along with friends and family, for a day of fun in the sunshine.

Visitors enjoyed a barbecue thanks to the home’s newly appointed executive chef, Dave Laithwaite while DJ Kevin Donnelly got everyone up dancing throughout the day.

Curtis Bennett, general manager, said: “The family fun day is a highlight of the Springhill events calendar and brings residents together with the local community, while giving them a chance to have fun with family and friends, which is always fantastic to see.

“The family fun day is something we all look forward to. Thank you to everyone involved in organising this event – it was a truly memorable day.”
