Striker makes Stanley return...

-

ACCRINGTON Stanley have welcomed back Offrande Zanzala to the Wham Stadium after the striker signed a permanent deal to join the Reds from Derby County.

The 21-year-old frontman was at Stanley on loan last season and has now put pen to paper on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The Congolese striker is very happy to be back at Stanley and cannot wait to get back among the squad.

“When I came here I loved every bit of it, training and bonding with the lads,” said Zanzala.

“I was made to feel welcome from the very first day I came here last season and to have been offered a permanent contract is an offer that I simply couldn’t turn down.

“It’s something that I’ve been thinking about for a long time. I experienced some great times with the lads and the coaching staff and it’s good to be back seeing them again.

“I just want to make more great memories off the back of last season, great memories like winning the league and scoring my first league goal.

“The journey which we went on last season, the incredible run, to make that mark was vital for me. It’s a goal that I’ll never forget.

“I want to do the same this year and more, to be the best that I can be.”

Stanley manager John Coleman is pleased to have been able to secure the signing. Coleman said: “We have trying to get him from the end of last season and it’s finally over the line.

“It’s a fantastic signing and he will do really well. He knows the lads, he is a great person, a great character and has a good work ethic and attitude.

“He was unfortunate last season as the team was on fire and there were no injuries or suspensions, but he was still a vital part of the squad which won the league and he enjoyed every minute.”
