life. He enjoyed his work and made many good friends there.

Michael was a member of and committee member of King Street W.M.C and a member of Blackburn Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed his trips to the Band Club and going to the bingo with his loving wife of 56 years Ursula. In his younger years he enjoyed family caravan holidays and family days out for picnics.

Michael was a devoted family man who always looked forward to all the family visiting on Saturdays when they would enjoy a feast together.

Michael was the devoted husband of Ursula, much loved dad of Kenny, Dianne, Michelle, Marie and Michael and the late Craig, dear father-in-law of Lorraine, Sue, Zol, Mark and the late Chris, cherished grandad of Kelly, Matthew, Samantha, Emma, Hayley, Lucy, Bradley, Jack, Tom, Eric, Simone, Tanya, Josh, Lloyd and Jordan, and dear great-grandfathe­r and a much respected relative and friend to many.

The service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Monday, October 1 at Accrington Crematoriu­m, Burnley Road, Accrington at 3pm.

The funeral was due to take place on Thursday, September 20 at 1pm at Accrington Crematoriu­m Chapel, followed by interment at Accrington Cemetery.
