In her spare time she enjoyed shopping, swimming and bingo. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and loved watching her grandchild­ren do majorettes.

She leaves children James, Maria, Bernard and Charlotte, daughterin-law Rebecca, son-inlaw Neil, together with 12 grandchild­ren James, Martin, Declan, Cavan, Danielle, Kieron, Neil, Charlus, Tamika, Tira, Harvey and John.

She also leaves six great-grandchild­ren Tamika, Mayah, LillyMae, Charlus, Isla and Hope. She also leaves her sister Charlotte and brother Billy.

A funeral service will take place at 10am on Friday, August 9, with a Requiem Mass at St Joseph’s RC Church, Accrington, administer­ed by Father Stamp followed by a burial at Accrington Cemetery. The family are open to flowers.

Funeral director: Peter Regan at Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington. MR Mark Aspden, of Lion Street, Church, Accrington, died on Friday, August 2, aged 58.

He worked as a warehousem­an at Bliss Warehouse, Shadsworth, Blackburn.

Mark enjoyed holidays in Skegness and Great Yarmouth and loved walking, completing puzzles and spending time with the grandchild­ren.

Much-loved husband of Bev, he leaves sons Ian and Andrew, grandchild­ren Tyler, Harley, Oliver and Harvey together with brothers David and Peter and sister Ann.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Friday, August 9, at Accrington Crematoriu­m, officiated by Celebrant Kirsty Goodinson, followed by cremation.

Family flowers only please, however donations in memory of Mark may be made to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation c/o funeral director Peter Regan, Hyndburn Funeral Services, Oswaldtwis­tle.

WILLIAM ECCLES

MR William James Eccles, of Tanpits Road, Accrington, died on Saturday, July 20, at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 70.

He started his career working for English Electric as an apprentice toolmaker before joining the army to work in a role in Royal Signals based at Catterick. He served in Ireland and Germany, training HGV drivers. After leaving the Army he joined the water board as a Superinten­dent up until his retirement. He was a member of the British Legion.

He leaves brother Stephen, niece Tracey, nephew Jonathan and great-niece Ebony and great-nephew Bayley.

A funeral service will be held at 12.45pm on Friday, August 9, at St Andrew’s Church, Empress Street, Accrington, administer­ed by Father Neville Ashton, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematoriu­m at 1.40pm.

Family flowers only please, however donations, if desired, suggested to British Liver Trust.
