Acting headteacher Gina Smith said money raised from students being punctual has been donated to Oswaldtwistle Food Bank.
She said: “Throughout the year our children have been saving their ‘Punctuality Pounds’ which they have been awarded for coming to school on time each week.
“Well done to everyone for working hard to improve punctuality in our school.
“Each class decided what to spend the money they had managed to save on, and the whole school decided once again to give half of the money raised to Oswaldtwistle Food Bank.
“We donated £150. We are very proud to continue to support the amazing work this charity does for our local community. It’s a shining example of our school vision in action.”
Other activities enjoyed by school pupils included a Ancient Greek Day with Year 5 travelled back in time to explore ancient Greece.
Youngsters in Year 2 also enjoyed another visit to the school’s kitchen garden plot at Rhyddings Park.
Gina said: “They dug up some potatoes planted earlier in the year and brought them back to school to cook and eat.
“They tasted delicious!
