AHEARTBROKEN daughter has issued a desperate plea for her missing mum to come home.

Pamela King, 57, of Water Street, Accrington, was last seen on Monday, August 5, in Blackburn.

She spoke to a relative on Wednesday, August 7 before reportedly posting a note through a relative’s door on Burnley Road, Accrington, on August 12.

Her daughter, Sarah McNally, is very concerned and is appealing for her mum to come home.

The 32-year-old told the Observer: “She was due to be evicted on August 12, which is the morning she went missing.

“She put a note through my auntie’s door, who lives a few roads away.

“It said she was couldn’t cope with the eviction and that she was going away.

“She posted the note before the eviction took place at 11am.

“She would have come out of my aunties and gone onto Peel Park Avenue but I’m unsure if she went on Burnley Road or past the Peel Park Pub.”

Police have also explained why there appeared to be a delay in them issuing an appeal on the subject.

Pamela’s family spoke to police on August 12, but she was not deemed as a missing person at this time. The family had been raising awareness that Pamela was missing for some time before the police appeal was issued.

They have urged the public not to be discouraged from searching for Pamela in the local area.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: “We were first approached by Pamela King’s family on August 12.

“She had left a note with family saying she was leaving the area for a few days and a decision was made to take no further action.”

Sarah’s auntie was asleep at the time the letter was posted, and believes it was delivered before 10am.

Sarah is particularly worried about her mum as she suffers from various mental health issues - including anxiety and depression. She also has a heart condition which requires her to take medication every day and Sarah is unsure if she has taken her medicine.

Pamela used to work as a receptionist at Peel House Medical Practice, before giving up her job recently.

Sarah, who works as a sales assistant at British Heart Foundation, added: “I have tried work, neighbours, trying to think of anywhere she has mentioned - but no one has seen or heard from her.

“She has problems with her heart and takes medication daily. I don’t know if she has it with her.”

Sarah, who has a fiveyear-old daughter BillieAnn, has issued a plea for her mum to come home.

She said: “I want her to know she is loved. She needs to come back and sort this mess out and get the help she so desperately needs.

“We’ll be there for her.”

Searches of the area are being planned by Sarah and has produced missing person leaflets to hand out.

She has also created a Facebook page called ‘Help find Pamela’ which has 2,300 likes so far.

Lancashire Police have said they do not believe Pamela’s disappearance is linked to the search for Lindsay Birbeck.

Insp Dave Clarke said: “We are concerned following Pamela’s disappearance and would urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

“Pamela being absent from her home for prolonged periods is not out of the ordinary and she has previously travelled to Ireland and may have shown an intention to travel to Scotland.

“However her family have now received no contact from her for nearly two weeks and would like to know she is safe and well. Her disappearance is not being linked to investigation to find Lindsay Birbeck, who is also missing from the Accrington area.”

Anyone with information about Pamela or her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 0714 of August 19.
