CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:
MOHAMMED Ali, 20, of Richmond Hill Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to using a vehicle without insurance. He was given an absolute discharge after magistrates ruled he had been ‘actively misled’ into believing he was covered.
BRADLEY James Grant Coster, 27, of Woodley Avenue, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £162 and given six points on his driving licence.
JAKE Boothman, 25, of Albion Street, Earby, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting in Accrington. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
NATHAN Scott Williams, 29, of Worsley Court, Oswaldtwistle, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £60 costs.
DERRY Eyers, 19, of Clark Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, assaulting a police officer and using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. She was given a 12-month community order with a 24-hour attendance centre requirement and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
BRAD Glen Reed, 21, of Whalley Road, Clayton-leMoors, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage, and was found guilty of one count of assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
DANYEL Lee Chapman, 21, of Acre View, Bacup, pleaded guilty to having a knuckle duster in a public place in Accrington. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
ROCKY Johnstone, 35, of Easton Lane, Chippenham, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Accrington. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
PAUL Patrick Lyons, 33, of East Crescent, Accrington, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
JAMES Kennedy, 35, of Beckanham Court, Burnley, admitted breaching the peace in Accrington and obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty. He was bound over in the sum of £50 for 12 months to keep the peace and fined £40.
MARTIN McAllister, 35, of Hanson Street, Great Harwood, pleaded guilty to shoplifting while subject to a conditional discharge order. He was given a threemonth community order with a curfew requirement.
SOHAIL Iqbal Khan, 22, of Clement Street, Accrington, admitted failing to comply with the supervision requirements following his release from prison, and being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
