Frank Whittleworth: She was an amazing mum and sister. There’s a hole in the world today. Love you sis. xxxxxx Sarah Smith: Aww so sorry to read this. Very sorry for your loss to all the Ramell family xxx Gail Boothroyd: Thinking of you Garry. You’re mum was amazing. I will miss her. Garry Ramell: Very much appreciated. Jaqui Collins: A very kind lady. RIP Alicia.

LONG-SERVING Accrington Market Hall stall Habiknit closes down (September 27) Elaine Holmes: Very sad. I went to this stall the other day and have always gone here for craft supplies. Better to see and touch than buy on eBay and be disappointed. Not surprised by the rent prices. Robyn Duckworth: I think it all went wrong when they attempted to modernise it. I miss Peggy’s cafe, the toy shop next door and the old sweet stall. It was amazing when I was younger. Lee Marcus Jones: If people shopped at this stall it would stay open. Same can be said for the stalls or lack of them on the market. All stalls are kept open by customers buying things. People say it’s sad when things close but if the customer isn’t there then that’s the only thing to blame.

DRUG-FUELLED mum Victoria Barker who killed teenager in car collision jailed for 44 months (page 6) Amanda D Sutcliffe: What an insult to the family of that poor boy. The justice system is an absolute joke in this country. Susan Counsell: She was a lethal weapon when she was driving that car so why should she not get the same sentence as someone who killed another by shooting or stabbing?
